· This is a double elimination tournament open to amateur athletes from all schools, styles and associations.
· A CSAC or CAMO license is not required.
· Custom State Championship Medals awarded to 1st – 3rd place
· Team champions receive a custom award.
Entry Fee: Pre registration only
$40 Civilians
$25 Active Duty, Retired and Drilling Reservists of the
Armed Forces (Must Show Military ID at weigh in)
Spectators: Pre registration only
$5 Civilians - You must submit your name on our spectator registration form prior to midnight January 24th to gain entry on base. We will provide the list to the guards at the gate who will allow you to enter the base. The $5 spectator fee will be charged at the door of the venue.
WEIGH IN: (Mandatory for all athletes)

CHECKING OF BRACKETS:
January 28th at 11:30AM
RULES DEMO: Breakdown of divisions will be announced after demo

Weights divisions subject to modification based on participation
Professionals with 2 or more victories may not participate.
MEN 16 & over
135 lbs & Under
135.1 to 145lbs
145.1 to 155lbs
155.1 to 170lbs
170.1 to 185lbs
185.1 to 205lbs
205.1 to 265lbs
WOMEN (14 yrs & over)
Weights will be pooled based on participation
Visitor Passes:
All vehicles entering the Base without a valid Coast Guard or DOD decal must obtain a visitor's pass by registering for the tournament as either a competitor or spectator.
You must have a valid driver’s license, Current vehicle registration, and Proof of current vehicle insurance to drive get on base.

Coast Guard Island is located directly off of I-880 from Oakland.
From North (either I-80 or 24/980)
Merge onto I-880 SOUTH toward ALAMEDA/AIRPORT/SAN JOSE
Take the exit toward 23RD AVENUE/ALAMEDA
Turn immediate RIGHT onto DENNISON ST
Dennison St runs straight into Coast Guard Island.
From South
Take I-880 NORTH toward DOWNTOWN OAKLAND
Take the 23RD AVENUE EXIT
Stay straight to go on 23RD AVENUE
Make a U-turn onto 23RD AVENUE
Turn RIGHT onto E 7TH STREET
Turn RIGHT onto KENNEDY STREET
Turn LEFT onto DENNISON STREET
Dennison St runs straight into Coast Guard Island.

Shorts - without open pockets zippers, buttons or belt loops
Optional Equipment:
Rashguard or tight fitting T-shirt
Shin Guards
Knee or elbow pads
Hand Wraps
Wrestling head gear
Soft Orthopedic support

CLASS "B" RULES WILL BE IN EFFECT:
ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES
All techniques must be focused and executed in proper form ensuring saftey of all participants.
No striking above collar bone, to joints, back, groin or other vital points
No strikes with tip of elbow
No slams, backsplashing or spiking on head
No heel hooks or techniques that cause twisting pressure against knee joint
No neck cranks or techniques that cause pressure against neck joint due to dynamic twisting
No malicious strikes, takedowns or submissions which are likely to cause injury prior to voluntary submission
SCORING
All matches will be conducted on regulation Wrestling Mats
Grappling Points:
1 point - Takedown or Reveral
1 point - Escape to standing neutral position
2 points - Takedown or Throw with elevation
2 points - Side Control
3 points - Mount
4 points - Back Mount
1 point - Attempted Submission
1 point - Step out of bounds/ Push Out
Striking Points:
1 point - Hand or arm strike to body
2 points - Kick to Body
Maximum of 3 strike points from each ground position of control
Maximum of 3 strike points per standing clinch or combination
Limited contact "B" Class rules apply:
