Athlete & Coach licensing


The USFL provides licensing for youth athletes, ages 8 to 17yrs and their coaches  enabling them to compete in legally regulated Pankration events. 

REQUIREMENTS - Please read all steps before starting process! 


REGISTER FOR FIGHTER OR COACH LICENSE & CREATE A PROFILE IN THE USFL DATABASE:
ANNUAL LICENSE MUST BE PURCHASED NO LATER THAN ONE WEEK PRIOR TO EVENT
YOUTH ATHLETE LICENSE - $50
COACH OF YOUTH ATHLETE LICENSE - $20


1. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR YOUR ANNUAL USFL LICENSE Coach & Athlete 
A Parent or Coach must register themselves to register a minor (Under 18 yrs). Parental contact info and email will be required. 
Register in your Legal Name, same name as listed on the proof of age document. 

HAVE READY: The following documents can be uploaded via scanner or by taking a good clear photo and uploaded. 
a) Both Coach & Athlete - A passport style photo (face only). You can take directly from cell phone. 
b) Athlete Only - A government document that clearly shows Name and Date of Birth.
c) Athlete Only -  Click to download and sign parental waiver and participant code of conduct.
Athletes will not be able to register unless a Photo, Document Proving Age and Waiver/ Code of conduct is uploaded.  
Coaches only need to upload a photo. 
 

2. UPLOAD AN ANNUAL SPORTS PHYSICAL TO DATABASE: Athletes only        
Can be uploaded during initial registration or email to jon@fightleague.org if completed after.  
We only need PAGE 2 of physical which is the medical certificate with Doctors Signature and Date
Do not send PAGE 1 which is the questionnaire for the examining doctor. 
Will also accept USA Boxing, IKF Kickboxing and High School Wrestling/ Football Annual Physicals.

3. CRIMINAL HISTORY BACKGROUND SCREENING: Coaches only

Do this ASAP if event is within two weeks. 
This will cost $17 and is good for two years. (Clear browser history if having issues with site)

4. COMPLETE CONCUSSION EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

A) REQUIREMENT FOR ATHLETES / PARENTS OF ATHLETES
After registering for license, Click to download Concussion Education Document, the athlete and one parent must Sign and Return via email to Jon@fightleague.org . You may also respond to the email sent from Injure Free with an e-signature.  NOT REQUIRED FOR COACHES

B) REQUIREMENT FOR COACHES 
ALL COACHES MUST OBTAIN A CDC COACHES CONCUSSION TRAINING CERTIFICATE:
CLICK HERE to access this Free Course from the CDC Website and email certificate to jon@fightleague.org 
If using Injure Free there is no need to email certificate as the system does it for you. This course takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. NOT REQUIRED FOR ATHLETES




5. REVIEW REQUIRED EQUIPMENT LIST:

Do not show up with improper equipment!





6. READ COACHES HANDBOOK & TRY ONLINE COACHES COMPETENCY EXAM:               Take 25 question exam as many times as needed to get a minimum score of 80%

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FIGHTERS & PARENTS: 
ATHLETE FIGHT AGREEMENT FORM
Parents and/or coaches can send to opposing party in advance of event to ensure weight and age is agreed upon. USFL cannot take action on a non documented agreement.

Pre bout medical screening form- This is not the annual physical, go to #2 for annual physical form.
Should be completed/ Signed by a parent or guardian in advance if not accompanying athlete to check in/ weigh in for an event. 




SUGGESTIONS, COMMENTS OR CHALLENGES

Results of a bout can only be challenged by a licensed coach.
A decision or referees action can only be reversed if clear and convincing evidence shows a technical error and the outcome of the bouts would be changed if reversed. Coaches have 7 days after bout to challenge. 

Parents can file a suggestion or compliant with the Parental Advisory Committee. The committee may request rule change or just advise of complaint for future consideration after review.
